Bushido
Bushido is the Samurai Empire warrior discipline — a set of combat arts rather than spells. They use mana (no reagents), are invoked from the Book of Bushido, and are built around Parrying (Bushido massively boosts weapon-parry block chance) and the Honor virtue’s Perfection bonus. Governed by the Bushido skill.
Abilities
Section titled “Abilities”| Ability | Skill | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Confidence | 25 | Defensive stance — heals you over the next few seconds, more if you successfully defend. |
| Counter Attack | 40 | Riposte: your next successful parry triggers an immediate counter-hit. |
| Evasion | 60 | Greatly raises your block/avoid chance for a short window. |
| Lightning Strike | ~50 | Your next swing is a guaranteed, faster hit with bonus accuracy. |
| Momentum Strike | ~70 | Strike your target and a second nearby enemy at once. |
| Honorable Execution | ~25 | A finisher: big damage, and on a kill it wipes your penalties/stat-loss and boosts you — but leaves you exposed if it fails. |
Bushido shines on a sword-and-board parry build: with Bushido + a shield, your parry rate is far higher than Parrying alone (see Advanced combat → Parrying), and Confidence/Evasion/Counter Attack turn defense into sustain and counter-damage.
